The most important step in demanding reform is being informed. 

We hope that this page will serve as a repository of valuable documents that can help citizen watchdogs demand reform. We will continue to add documents from our own files here, and invite the public to send us documents they would like to see stored in our public files.

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife

• Fact Sheets: Summaries of important WDFW issues.
• Game Management: Documents related to WDFW’s development of a new game management plan. 
• Letters: Letters to WDFW management and other decision-makers.
• Public Disclosure Requests: Our public information requests and the responses.
• Research: Information on cougars, ungulates, coyotes, black bears, wolves, and other topics.
• Spring Bear Hunt: Documents and background information related to the WDFW Commission’s decisions to cancel the 2022 and 2023 spring bear hunts.
• Wildlife Public Opinion Surveys: Polls on wildlife management from various sources, including wildlife agencies and polling firms.
• Wolves: Documents and background information related to Washington’s wolf management, including poaching and WDFW’s killing of wolves due to cattle depredation.

Wildlife For All

• Washington Wildlife First is a member of Wildlife for All, a national organization whose mission is to reform state wildlife agencies, many of which face the same challenges as the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Wildlife for All provides a number of excellent resources about state wildlife reform.
