Mission / Vision

We seek to transform Washington’s approach to fish and wildlife policy to a more democratic paradigm that elevates science, recognizes the intrinsic value of individual animals, and prioritizes protecting, preserving, and perpetuating wild lives and ecosystems.

Guiding Principles

1. We are champions for wildlife.

2. We value wild animal lives and well-being, and approach wildlife policy with respect for individual animals, families, social groups, species, and ecosystems.

3. We persevere in the face of setbacks, showing the determination necessary to succeed in a difficult struggle with high stakes against long odds.

4. We are courageous in facing adversity and potential retaliation, challenging entrenched power and special interests when few others will.

5. We are creative and resourceful in overcoming barriers and seeking solutions.

6. We show leadership, setting the standard for other groups and states to follow.

7. We insist upon integrity and honesty in all our actions and statements.

8. We are nimble, able to adjust quickly to respond to new opportunities and challenges.

9. Our organization exists to serve its mission, not itself.
